Students will participate in Spanish class Monday through Friday. Instruction and assessments will include speaking, listening, reading and writing in the language. Students will be expected to memorize and be able to manipulate vocabulary and grammar concepts through the use of simple sentences.

The following behaviors and attitudes will promote your student's success.
RESPONSIBLE: Listen with the intent to understand. (Do more than just hear. Listen and process what you are hearing and seeing.)
RESPECTFUL: One person speaks and the others listen. (Focus your eyes on the speaker and respect when others are talking by not having side conversations.)
READY: Support the flow of conversation. (Students will be asked to contribute interesting topics of conversation for the teacher to discuss in Spanish.)
READY: Do your part. (Avoid using English unless asked specifically.)
Larger assignments and projects with be posted on the Google Classroom.
Use of online or software translation services to complete writing assignments (unless specified by the teacher) is considered cheating. Translators will translate phrases word by word which generally creates an illogical sentence. Students should attempt to simplify sentences and use previously learned vocabulary to complete assignments.
